The primary aim of this one-day course is to address questions from your management of
headache patients (or what you would like to revisit) since your participation in the two-day (Level I) course.
The emphasis will be on the application of the differentiation techniques in treatment with advanced clinical reasoning.
Whilst the curriculum is largely designed, to ensure that your questions are addressed
(anonymously), please email your questions up to eight weeks before the course to Dean Watson
Apart from addressing specific questions the course is designed to:
- Review the latest developments in relation to the pathophysiology of primary
headache (and hopefully some preliminary results from my research!)
- Revisit the differentiation techniques through a series of set scenarios
- Examine in detail the differentiation techniques as treatment techniques; this includes progression, address un-resolving headache from the various segments as the technique is sustained, for e.g. un-resolving headache when stressing the CO-C1 segment, possible reasons for adverse reactions and as home exercises
- Discuss management of the 'Alternating Headache' - the most difficult headache to treat and the easiest to aggravate!
A workbook will be provided and participants will have the use of an articulated model of the upper cervical spine during the course.
Completion of the course qualifies you and your practice (if you are the principal) for registration on: www.headacheandmigraine.com
